(1) Huelva. There was one pure adult at Odiel marshes, Huelva on 19.5 (Feliciano Esteban). See a thumbnail here.

(1) Valencia. There was a bird on 2.5 at R.N. del Tancat de Milia, Sollana, L'Albufera de València, flying towards the lagoon (M. Piera, S. Vara @ Perhaps the same bird was seen at El Romaní, Sollana, L'Albufera de València on 12-14.5 (Luis Aleixos @

(2) Barcelona. There was a presumed hybrid on 19.5 at Bassa de Can Dunyó, Lliçà d'Amunt, Barcelona (Javi Mendoza @; Daniel Roca)

(1-3) Málaga. On 1.5 there remained three birds at Fuentedepiedra lagoon, Málaga (Olivier Laluque).

(1) Illes Balears . On 1.5 a bird that had been seen before in the island was recorded near the Palma de Mallorca airport, Balearic islands (Adolfo Ferrero). See a photo below and a thumbnail here.

(1) Gibraltar / Cádiz. On 30.5 a 1w/s moulting feathers was seen above Gibraltar and into Cádiz, Spain. 1st for Gibraltar, 2nd for Spain (Charles Pérez/GONHS). The 1st record for Spain was a bird from 6 May 2008.

Sharp-tailed Sandpiper Calidris acuminata (1)
(1) Valencia. On 11.5 a bird was found at R.N Tancat de Milia, PN de la Albufera, València (Pedro Marín). The bird was seen again on 12.5 (Pedro Marín, Miguel Piera) and 13.5 (Pedro Marín, Germán Marín). See photos below and thumbnails here. The bird continued until 15.5 (Y. Maggiotto, P. Hunprey y S. Tepper
Relocated on 28-29.5.2015 (D.Mons; P.Marín @; Mariska de Graaf) and 31.5 (Pedro Marín). See two photos below.

Broad-billed Sandpiper Limicola falcinellus (1)
(1) Tarragona. Presumably one of the birds seen on 30.4 remained on 3.5 at Punta de la Banya, Delta de l'Ebre, Tarragona (Jordi Martí-Aledo).
This same individual or another continued there on 12-14.5 (Jordi Martí-Aledo)

Great Snipe Gallinago media (1,2,3-4,5-6,7,8)
(1) Bacelona. On 14.5 a bird was seen at Filipines marsh, Delta del Llobregat, Viladecans, Barcelona (Stephen Christopher). Relocated later (Ferran López)

(2) Girona. On 15.5 a bird was seen at Torre Albert, Roses, Girona (Àlex Ollé)

(3-4) Girona. On 17.5 two birds were seen at Mas Matà, PN Aiguamolls de l'Empordà, Girona (Carles Oliver).

(5-6) Illes Balears. On 16.5 there were two birds at S'Albufera de Mallorca, Muro,Mallorca (Juanjo Bazán, Pere Vicens and others). See a photo below and more at GOB Mallorca forum here and a photo below (Juanjo Bazán). Perhaps one of these coming from 13.5 (Mike Smethurst @ GOB Mallorca forum).

(7) Illes Balears. On 17.5 three birds were seen at S'Albufera de Mallorca, Muro, Mallorca: the two above (5-6) and another from Sa Roca hide see thumbnails here (Kevin Smith).

Spotted Sandpiper Actitis macularius (1,2,3)
(1) Barcelona. On 14.5 a summer plumaged individual was found at Remolar lagoon mouth, Delta del Llobregat, Viladecans, Barcelona (Stephen Christopher). It was relocated and photographed later in the day (Ferran López; Ponç Feliu; Jaume Bartra; Josep Bel; José Angel Lahoz, Alberto Somoza) but not the following days. (2) Asturias. On 25.5 a summer plumaged individual was found at Ría de la Villa, Villaviciosa, Asturias (David Álvarez)

topo(3) Gran Canaria. A summer plumaged individual was found on 25.5 at San Felipe, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands (Paqui del Rosario). Still present the following day (Paqui del Rosario). See a photo below.

Red-necked Phalarope Phalaropus lobatus (1-2,3-4)
(1-2) Cádiz . On 6.5 there remained two at Salinas de Bonanza, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cádiz (Julio Rabadán).

(3-4) Tarragona . On 14.5 there was one and on 15.5 there were two at Punta de la Banya, Delta de l'Ebre, Tarragona (Jordi Martí-Aledo)

Iceland Gull Larus glaucoides (1)
Barcelona On 19.5.2015 a 3cy was found at Llobregat river, El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona (Jordi Sala). Relocated and photographed later (Ferran López et al), see a photo below. 2nd for Catalonia.

(1) Valencia. The birds seen on 2.4 remained at Racó de l'Olla Nature Reserve, L'Albufera de València on 5.5 when they were seen attending a nest (M. Chardí, J.I. Dies, G. García, I. Ruiz, T. Alcocer @

(1) Tarragona . The bird found on 30.4 at l'Aufacada, Delta de l'Ebre, Tarragona and visible from the tower there remained there on 1.5 (Ricard Gutiérrez, Carolina García; Toni Alcocer) and 2.5 (Sergi Sales,Carolina García,Oriol Muntané,Ricard Gutiérrez; Àlex Mascarell and others) but not on 3.5 (Marc Gàlvez et al).
