(1) A Coruña. A bird was seen from Estaca de Bares cape, A Coruña, on 18.9 (Pablo Lado, Ricardo Hevia).

(2) A Coruña. Another bird was seen from Estaca de Bares cape, A Coruña, on 21.9 (Antonio Sandoval).

(3) Gran Canaria. On 21.9 a bird reported as feae was seen off Castillo del Romeral, Gran Canaria, Canary islands at 27.736017,-15.294652 (Eric Van der Werf @eBird).

(1) Lanzarote. On 7.9 a bird was seen at Banco de la Concepción, N Lanzarote, Canary Islands (Lanzarote Pelagics, Robert Flood, Ashley Fisher et al).

(1) Lanzarote. On 10.9 an individual was seen at Banco de la Concepción, N Lanzarote, Canary Islands (Lanzarote Pelagics, Juan Sagardia, Robert Flood, Ashley Fisher, Marcel Gil, Pierre-André Crochet et al).

Western Reef Egret Egretta gularis
(1) Málaga. On 21.9 a bird was seen at Azud de la Aljaima, Cártama, Málaga (Antonio Tamayo @eBird).

Corncrake Crec crex
(1) Barcelona. On 2.9 a dead bird was found at Can Carbonell, Sant Just Desvern, Baix Llobregat, Barcelona (Danae Portabella). See a photo below.

Lesser Spotted Eagle Aquila pomarina (1,2,3)
(1) Cádiz. A possible adult was seen at Algarrobo bird observatory, Algeciras, Cádiz, on 23.9 (Javier Notario @eBird).

(2) Cádiz. A juvenile was seen on 23.9 from Algarrobo bird observatory, Algeciras , Cádiz, on 23.9 (Rafael García @eBird; José Mª Lubián R. De Agredano

(3) Cádiz. A non 1w bird was seen on 24.9 from Cazalla bird observatory, Tarifa, Cádiz (Carlos A. Torralvo @eBird; Dean Roizer @eBird; Mark Hoekstein, Dirk Werbrouck, Minie Ackerman Perhaps this bird was the same seen from Cazalla (Dean Roizer @ eBird) and Punta Camorro, El Estrecho Natural Park, Cádiz both on 29.9 (Julio Ortega, Diegui Herrera @eBird).

Long-legged Buzzard Buteo rufinus
(1) Cádiz. A bird was seen from Algarrobo bird observatory, Algeciras, Cádiz 28.9 (Miguel MG, José Navarro @eBird).

Lanner Falco biarmicus
(1-2) Cádiz. On 23.9 two birds, a 2cy and a 1w were seen from Algarrobo bird observatory, Algeciras, Cádiz 23.9 (Javier Notario @eBird).

Pacific Golden Plover Pluvialis fulva
(1) Málaga. An adult remained at Desembocadura del Guadalhorce, Málaga, on 6.9 (Juan Ramírez @eBird), 7.9 (Antonio Román-Muñoz @eBird), 8.9 (Noel Hohental @eBird) and 9.9 (Johan Debuck, Guido Rappé & Dominique Cornelissen .

(2) Tarragona. The returning adult seen again as in previous years at Migjorn grassfields, Sant Jaume d’Enveja from 18.8 was relocated intermitently during September. This was due to heavy works in the grassfields and the bird temporally moved elsewhere, particularly Buda island. The bird was seen on: 1.9 (Manolo Sánchez Blanch), 2.9 (Harold Wijts, Manolo Sánchez Blanch, Mayca Martí, Ricard Gutiérrez); 6.9 (Mayca Martí) and 9.9 (Josep; Xavier Subirats). The bird continued at Migjorn where seen intermitently: 10.10 (Lluís Toldrà, Josep Crusafont, 11.9 (Jordi Jover, see a photo below), 15.9 (Quique Carballal The bird remained mostly at Migjorn grassfields during the 2nd part of the month: 16.9 (Harold Wijts, 20.9 (Pancho Pou; Carlos Gutiérrez Expósito, Raquel Sainz @eBird; David Bigas, Ricard Gutiérrez, Martin Collinson, Killian Mullarney, Daniel López-Velasco), 21.9 (Menotti Passarella, 22.9 (Menotti Passarella; Xavier Subirats and others) and 23.9 (Sergi Sales, Gorka Gorospe et al). (1) Asturias. A bird was seen on 13.9 at Llanes, Asturias (Martin Steverding

(1) Huelva. One was seen at Saltes Island, Odiel Marshes Natural Park, Huelva on 4.9 (Demetrio Aguado @eBird).

Spotted Sandpiper Actitis macularius (1)
(1) Pontevedra. On 11.9 a juvenile bird was reported from Illa de Arousa, from O Bao- Carreirón itinerary , Pontevedra (Agustín Alcalde @eBird).

SOUTH POLAR SKUA Stercorarius maccormickii (1)
(1) A Coruña. On 21.9 a bird was seen 12 nautic miles off Sálvora islands, A Coruña (Marcel Gil). See three photos below.

Elegant Tern Thalasseus elegans (1-3,4-5)
(1-3) Cádiz. On 5.9 two birds, a ringed adult and a juvenile were seen at Sallina la Tapa, Cádiz (Rafael García @eBird). On 16.9 two adults and the juvenile remained at the area (Rafael García @eBird). On 25.9 three birds were seen at Cádiz bay from Puerto Real, Cádiz (Víctor Manuel Porras @eBird).

(4-5) Cádiz. On 23.9 there were two birds (adult and 1w) at Montijo beach, Chipiona,Cádiz (Manuel Bárcena). See photos below and thumbnails here.

Yellow-billed Tern Thalasseus sp (1,2)
(1) Alicante. On 15.9 a 1w Yellow-billed tern was seen off Algar river mouth, Altea,Alicante (François Berthet). See a thumbnail here.

(2) Almeria. On 15.9 a bird that could not be properly identified was in company of a Sandwich Tern and a bird looking like a Lesser Crested Tern at San Juan de los Terreros, Almeria (Antonio Méndez). It might be another bengalensis but the bill looks long. See a photo below.

Blue-cheeked Bee-eater Merops persicus (1)
(1) Lleida. On 2.9 an adult was seen within a Merops apiaster migrating group at Mas de Melons Nature Reserve, Castelldans, Garrigues, Lleida (Sergi Sales).

Hooded Crow Corvus cornix (1-7)
(1-7) Barcelona. There are up to 7 birds at Baix Llobregat comarca. 2 adults and 3 1w at El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona, from the local breeding pair and two more presumably coming from the Sant Feliu area also frequenting El Prat. There were different observations of these birds: 1.9 4 ind at El Prat (Juan Miguel Díaz, 2.9 (Lluís-Xavier Toldrà and 4 on 5.9 (Ferran López @Llobregat Delta Bird News). On 13.9 there were 4 at Nelson Mandela bridge (Pau Esteban and on 16.9 they were seen at Cal Nani marshes, El Prat (Marta Jornet 18.9 there were five at Cal Nani, El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona (Eduard Batista

(1) Málaga . On 5.9 one remained at Desembocadura del Guadalhorce, Málaga (Dominique Cornelissen, Johan Debuck, Guido Rappé bird was seen again on 14.9 (Antonio Tamayo @ebird) and 15.9 (Noel Hohenthal @ebird).Seen again on 17.9 (Armando Molina @eBird) and on 25.9 (Antonio Tamayo @eBird)..

Red-breasted Flycatcher Ficedula parva (1)
(1) Girona . One was seen at Mas Pla, Torroella de Montgrí, Girona on 9.9 (Julio Pérez Cañestro, Albert Burgas, Joan Estrada Jofra, Montse Jofra, Víctor Estrada The record was supressed for a number of days and only these observers could see the bird.

Lapland Bunting Calcarius lapponicus (1)
(1) A Coruña . On 18.9 a bird was found at Estaca de Bares headland (Pablo Lado, Ricardo Hevia). On 20.9 it was seen again (Kjell Wallin @eBird) and on 22.9 it was still there (Ricardo Hevia; Jorge García @eBird).

Yellow-breasted Bunting Emberiza aureola (1)
(1) Mallorca. Illes Balears . On 30.9 a bird was reported from C'an Cullerassa, S'Albufereta, Pollença, Mallorca (Pep Manchado).
