Red-footed Booby Sula sula (1) 7TH FOR SPAIN
Málaga. On 16.6 a subadult was seen at Caleta de Vélez harbour, Málaga ( 36°44'53.1"N 4°04'14.7"W / 36.748071, -4.070742) and it was photographed as well (Rafa Palomo). The bird had been present in two previous days (28.5.2019, 6.6.2019) but it had went unidentified until the author showed the photos to other birders who checked this website and realised the nature of the bird. Western Reef Egret Egretta gularis (2)
Valencia. On 10.6 one bird was seen feeding at Racó de l'Olla reserve, l'Albufera de Valencia, Valencia (Miguel Chardí, J. Ignacio Dies, Guillermo García). See two photos below (J.Ignacio Dies). The first after many years of absence in the area.

(2) Tarragona. On 21.6 a pure adult individual was seen at Baix Ebre comarca, Tarragona (Cristian Jensen/Audouin Birding Tours). See a photo below. On 22.6 it was seen again at Deltebre, Baix Ebre (Manolo Sánchez Blanch, Mariska Huub de Graaf). The bird is not the Valencia one according to the comparative study carried out by J.I.Dies (see collage below): legs and chin pattern are different.

Kelp Gull Larus dominicanus (1)
Bizkaia. A bird, an ad or a 4cy, was seen at Lea estuary, Lekeitio, Bizkaia (Jon Zubiaur) on 6.6. See photos enclosed.

Elegant Tern Thalasseus elegans (1-5) BREEDING EPISODE
(1-5) Valencia. There have been a number of observations of Elegant Terns at Valencia coast in May-June 2019. From 1-19.5 a least two pure adults, then five adults, have been seen lingering around different sites of the coast and within a seabird breeding colony. Given this situation and the possibility of disturbance of the breeding colony, this website is not not giving more details on the situation or number of birds involved until the presumed breeding episode ends.

(1-2) Sevilla . Two birds were seen on 13.6 at El Pantano, Los Palacios y Villafranca, Sevilla (Andrés Rodríguez Hornillo, Joaquín Martín @eBird). On 16.6 one was seen singing and photographed too (Paco Chiclana). See a photo below. nTwo were seen on 28.6 at the same place (Vicent Esteller @eBird).

(1) Barcelona. On 4.6 one was at Nelson Mandela bridge, El Prat de Llobregat, Baix Llobregat, Barcelona (Pau Esteban 19.6 one was seen at Cal Nani, El Prat de Llobregat (Pau Esteban

On 5.6 a bird of the group of Sant Boi de Llobregat was seen over C-32 motorway, Sant Boi de Llobregat, Delta del Llobregat, Baix Llobregat, Barcelona (Jonathan Skipper 14.6 (Jonathan Skipper and 15.6 (Dani Díaz-Diethelm a bird was seen again there.
