Fea's/Madeira Petrel Pterodroma feae/madeira (1,2,3)
Pontevedra. On 2.8 a bird was seen 2 nautic miles W of Ons islands, Pontevedra (Emilio Martínez Sabarís). See a sketch below.

(2) A Coruña. On 11.8 one was seen from Estaca de Bares, A Coruña (Daniel López Velasco, Ricardo Hevia, Alfonso Valderas, Gonzalo Laje, Borja Heredia, William Haworth, Antonio Sandoval).

(3) Cantabria. On 7.8 a bird was seen from Santander - Plymouth ferry c. 20 nautic miles off Santander (according to the hour of observation) (Carl Chapman). See a photo below and read the story at his blog here.

Red-footed Booby Sula sula (1) 7TH FOR SPAIN
Málaga. The subadult found at Caleta de Vélez harbour, Málaga on 16.6 was still present there on 2.9 (Susana Noguera @eBird). The bird was still present on 8.8 (J.A. Sarry and on 12.8 (José Alberto Fernández Ugarte, Iker Fernández @eBird). Seen again on 15.8 (Antonio Román Muñoz, Juan Ramírez @eBird) and 20.8 (Peter Stronach), see a photo below, but it was not present on 18.8 at many hours (Ignacio Torres) suggesting it may starting being less faithful to its usual place. Not seen the last week of August.

Brown Booby Sula leucogaster (1)
A Coruña. On 24.8 a bird, adult or nearly so, was seen from Estaca de Bares, A Coruña (Antonio Sandoval, Ricardo Hevia, Gregorio Chaguaceda and others). First seen at 18:30 later seen again at 19:40 when testimonial shots were obtained (Antonio Sandoval). See a record shot below and two thumbnails here.

Terek Sandpiper Xenus cinereus (1)
Valencia. A bird was found at Albufera de Valencia, Valencia on 9.8 (Yanina Maggiotto et al). See a photo below.

Spotted Sandpiper Actitis macularius (1,2)
(1) Cantabria. A moulting adult bird was reported on 20.8 from Alday marshes, Cantabria (Javier Hernández, Javier Pi @eBird).

(2) A Coruña. A juvenile was seen on 20.8 at Os Xialleiros beach, Estuario del rio Anllóns, Cabana de Bergantiños, A Coruña (José Luís Rabuñal).

Royal Tern Thalasseus maximus (1)
(1) Cádiz. A bird was seen and photographed (see Macaulay Library here) on 6.8 at La Breña y Marismas de Barbate, PN Desem bocadura del Río Barbate, Cádiz, Andalucía (Faustino Chamizo @eBird). Still there on 14.8 (José Alberto Fernández Ugarte @eBird).

Elegant Tern Thalasseus elegans (1-2,3)
(1-2) Alicante. There were two birds at El Pinet, La Marina, Alacant on 5.8. They were see flying along the beach about 30 metres from the shore for about 30 minutes (Barry Chambers). Later they were seen roosting on the lagoons that are behind the beach (Malcolm Palmer).

(3) Cádiz. There was a bird at Cádiz bay, at Parque de los Toruños, on 23.8 (Rafael García @eBird). It was a male ringed in the right tarsus.

Laughing Dove Spilopelia senegalensis (1-4,5) PROBABLE MAINLAND BREEDING
(1-4) Sevilla . There were three adults and a juvenile, one of the adults 'singing' at El Pantano, Los Palacios y Villafranca, Sevilla on 4.8, suggesting breeding again (Paco Chiclana). See a photo below. On 17.8 there were two pairs building nests, displaying and conducting breeding courtship behaviour (Paco Chiclana). See a photo below and thumbnail here. On 22.8 there was one at the same place (José Luís Garzón @eBird).

(5) Huelva . A bird was reported on 6.8 at Diseminado Gamonosas, Valverde del Camino, Huelva (Irene Martínez Briones @eBird. The same individual, with a damaged leg, was seen again on 7.8 (Irene Martíenz Briones @ eBird).

topoHooded Crow Corvus cornix (1,2-3,4)
(1) Gran Canaria. The bird seen in previous months was still at Tailarte dock, Gran Canaria, Canary islands on 3.8 (Miguel Avelino Suarez (photos) and Francisco Guerra). This bird was still around on 10.8 when photographed again (Miguel Avelino Suarez, Francisco Guerra). See a new photo below and a thumbnail here. On 29.8 was N of the harbour at Playa del Hombre, Hoya del Pozo, Gran Canaria (Fredi Delgado @eBird).
