Balearic Shearwater Puffinus mauretanicus. Large concentation in the vicinity of breeding area: 1000 birds were seen at badia de Santa Ponça, Mallorca the evening of 9.6 (Erika González, Miquel McMinn, Manolo Suárez, Jordi Muntaner).Movement of birds into the Atlantic with some scattered records here and there while very few along Catalan coast by 20.6 (SPFFAC): On 23.6 a bird was seen off Punta Lucero, Bizkaia (Gorka Ocio), a few between 13-13.6 off Málaga (Andy Paterson).
Presumed hybrid Western Reef x Little Egret* Egretta gularis x garzetta (1). The almost resident bird at Desembocadura del Guadalhorce, Málaga, was seen again on 8.6(Andy Paterson)

Great White Egret Egretta alba. There was one colour-ringed at Arrocampo, Cáceres, on 1.6 (Javier Briz)On 5.6 there was a bird at Basses d'en Coll, Pals, Girona (Jaume Ros, Joaquim Camps, Carles Barriocanal).There was one at embalse de los Canchales, Mérida, Extremadura on 14.6 (Juan Antonio García Jiménez).The same day, at Marismas de Santoña RN, Cantabria, there was a bird too (Juanjo Aja, Máximo Sánchez Cobo).There were four birds on 16.4 at Utxesa Reservoir, Lleida, not confirmed but perhaps adults in breeding plumage (Anna Varea).

Yellow-billed Stork*Mycteria ibis. One record. (1). The 2nd bird reported at Doñana the previous months was visible at Caño Guadiamar, Doñana, Sevilla on 13.6 (Rob Felix). See thumbnail here

Glossy Ibis Plegadis falcinellus. Possible breeding record inland at La Mancha: on 8.6 from 12.30 to 13:30 a pair was showing territoriality at laguna del camino de Villafranca, Alcazar de San Juan, Ciudad Real. One of the birds was perched on a reedbed platform and was 'nest-building' with the aid of its bill the surrounding reeds (María Chico de Guzman, José Manuel Bueno, Mario Rodero)

Sacred Ibis* Threskiornis aethiopicus. (3). (1) On 5.6 there was one at desembocadura del Guadalhorce, Málaga (Antonio Tamayo).  (2) On 25.6 there was a pair at Complejo Intermareal Umia-Ogrobe, Pontevedra,Galicia  (Xurxo Pinheiro).(3)On 28.6 there was one at Parc Natural de S'Albufera de Mallorca, Illes Balears (Lalo Ventoso).

Canada Goose* Branta canadensis. (1). On 18.6.2003 there were 3 at Plaiaundi, Irún, Bahía de Txingudi, Guipúzcoa (David Calleja Marcos, Miguel Angel López de Armentia, Alberto Luengo, Alfredo Herrero y Mikel Guereñu)

Rüppell's Vulture* Gyps rueppellii (1)  The bird seen on 26.5 entering the Iberian peninsula from Africa over the Straits of Gibraltar was recovering well at Jerez Zoo on 3.6 (Paco Montoya/COCN).On 11.6 the bird was in the process of recovery and it will be ready for release in 3-4 weeks (Miguel Angel Quevedo /Zoo de Jerez)

Black Vulture Aegypius monachus. Extralimital record. There was a bird over puertos de Sejos, PN Saja-Besaya, Cantabria on 3.6 (Luis Tosal).

Red-footed Falcon Falco vespertinus. There was one at Parlavà, Girona on 1.6 (Armand Tomàs)On 20.6, a late date, one male was seen near Claravalls, Urgell (David Guixé).

Crested Coot Fulica cristata. A collar marked bird was seen at llacuna de l'Encanyissada on 7.6. (Francesc i Ferran Pujol). This bird is at the area since the autumn 2002 and it was a bird previously released at Albufera de València (David Bigas/PNDE). There was a pair with a chick at laguna de Alcalá de Guadaira, Sevilla on 8.6 (Paco Chiclana).The reintroduction scheme at Delta del Llobregat, Barcelona has produced its fruits: a pair has breed and raised three chicks in june 2003 (F.López, FX Santaeufemia, A.Ramal, R.Gutiérrez, X.Sampere/RN Delta del Llobregat). It is the first known case in recent times for Catalonia and becomes the northernmost breeding location in Europe so far.On 13.6 there was a pair with chicks at Caño Guadiamar, Doñana, Sevilla (Rob Felix). Fulica cristata has bred for the 1st time ever in Catalonia at Llobregat delta.

White-rumped Sandpiper* Calidris fuscicollis. (1). The bird found on 31.5 at Punta de la Banya, Delta de l'Ebre, Tarragona was still there on 1.6.(David Bigas, Ferran López, Júlia Piccardo, Francesc Vidal, Emma Guinart, Jordi Ruiz-Olmo).  See photo below © David Bigas. And thumbnail here. The bird was not relocated the days after.

Temminck's Stint Calidris temminckii. On 1.6 there were two at laguna de la Rosa, Villafáfila, Zamora (Laura Antón & Alfonso Rodrigo).

Marsh Sandpiper  Tringa stagnatilis. On 29.6 there was one at maresma de les Filipines, Delta del Llobregat, Barcelona (Ferran López).

Lesser Crested Tern Sterna bengalensis. There was an immature bird off rio Guadalhorce mouth, Málaga (Andy Paterson & Mike Clarke)on 1.6.The Ebro Delta, Tarragona breeding pair has been relocated on 11.6 (David Bigas/PNDE) and there is a third individual paired to a Sandwich Tern (D.Bigas/PNDE).

Roseate Tern* Sterna dougallii (1 through snail-mail). On 5.6 there was one breeding plumage adult at Ría de Ortigueira, A Coruña, Galicia (Xavier Prieto; Antonio Gutiérrez, Pablo Gutiérrez). 

White-rumped Swift Apus caffer. There were 2 at Castillo de Monfrague, Extremadura, on 11.6 (John Butler)On 16.6 there were 4 at km 98 of A376 near Ronda, Málaga (N36.82103-W005.33086 degrees)(Rob Felix)

Richard's Pipit* Anthus richardi(1). Very unseasonal record produced by experienced observers. There are photos. A bird was seen on 20.6 at Els Reguerons  area, Viladecans, Delta del Llobregat, Barcelona (Xavier Larruy Brusi, Juan Bécares)See a thumbnail hereSome authors point out this bird being an unusually thick-billed Tawny Pipit Anthus campestris (ed.comment).
Rose-coloured Starling* Sturnus roseus (1) An adult in breeding plumage was seen on 30.6 at Cap de Creus, Girona, in the road from Port Lligat to Cap De Creus lighthouse, after 3 km you have a blue gate at at your right, where the bird was seen the evening of 30.6 (David Herman et al)

The unseasonally claimed Richard's Pipit Anthus richardi seen at Reguerons, Llobregat delta on 20.6 (Photo © Juan Bécares). Note the loral area shows a shade not a real mark.However, several other authors point out the certain possibility of this being an odd thick-billed Tawny Pipit Anthus campestris.
